Towards Red Emissive Systems Based on Carbon Dots
نویسندگان
چکیده
Carbon dots (C-dots) represent an emerging class of nontoxic nanoemitters that show excitation wavelength-dependent photoluminescence (PL) with high quantum yield (QY) and minimal photobleaching. The vast majority studies focus on C-dots exhibit the strongest PL emissions in blue/green region spectrum, while longer wavelength are ideal for applications such as bioimaging, photothermal photodynamic therapy light-emitting diodes. Effective strategies to modulate emission C-dot-based systems towards red end spectrum rely extensive conjugation sp2 domains, heteroatom doping, solvatochromism, surface functionalization passivation. Those approaches systematically presented this review, emphasis is given important red-emissive suspensions, nanopowders polymer nanocomposites.

Developing a Fluorescent Hybrid Nanobiosensor Based on Quantum Dots and Azoreductase Enzyme forMethyl Red Monitoring
Background: Azo dyes are the most widely used synthetic colorants in the textile, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and other industries, accounting for nearly 70% of all dyestuffs consumed. Recently, much research attention has been paid to efficient monitoring of these hazardous chemicals and their related metabolites because of their potentially harmful effect on environmental issues. In contr...
متن کاملIntriguing cysteine induced improvement of the emissive property of carbon dots with sensing applications.
A simple fluorometric technique has been adopted for cysteine (Cys) sensing in alkaline medium down to the nM level. The huge fluorescent signal of the solution is a consequence of fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) produced in situ from modified hydrothermal (MHT) reaction between Cys and dopamine (DA). It has been observed that the inherent fluorescence of DA is drastically quenched in alkaline so...
متن کاملHydrogen peroxide sensing based on carbon quantum dots
In this work, carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have been synthesized by one step hydrothermal method to detect hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The optical H2O2 sensors were based on the fluorescent quenching of the carbon quantum dots. The optical H2O2 sensors demonstrate capable of detecting H2O2 over the range of 0-88.2 mM and 0-60 mM. The H2O2 sensitivities of wavelength shift to changes in the H2O2 con...
متن کاملNatural carbon-based dots from humic substances
For the first time, abundant natural carbon-based dots were found and studied in humic substances (HS). Four soluble HS including three humic acids (HA) from different sources and one fulvic acids (FA) were synthetically studied. Investigation results indicate that all the four HS contain large quantities of Carbon-based dots. Carbon-based dots are mainly small-sized graphene oxide nano-sheets ...
